How it works

Your local marketplace, on your side. Less scams. Better listings. Serious buyers only. Here’s the short version.

  1. Step 1

    Browse

    The homepage is your local feed. Filter by Buy, Rent, or Trade. Use the search bar or open Filters for price range and sort.

    • Tap the heart on any card to save it for later — find saves in your Account menu.
    • Save a search and we’ll email you the moment a matching item posts nearby.
    • Seller location stays hidden on browse cards. You only see exact pickup once you message and agree to meet.

  2. Step 2

    Post

    Tap the + Post button at the bottom of the screen. Snap a photo and we auto-fill the title, price, category, and description. Review and publish.

    • It takes about 30 seconds. Most people are surprised how fast it is.
    • Buy, Rent, Free, or Trade — you pick the deal type. Pricing fields adapt to match.
    • We hide your location on the public card. Buyers only see your area after they reach out.

  3. Step 3

    Bulk-list a pile

    Got a garage full of stuff? Dump 20 photos into the batch composer at once. Our AI reads each photo and drafts a title, description, condition, and suggested price. You review the pile, tweak anything off, and publish them all.

    • One photo or twenty — same flow. Faster than posting them one at a time.
    • You stay in control. Every draft is editable before it goes live.
    • Best fit for cleanouts, estate sales, or a shed full of equipment you never use.

  4. Step 4

    Messages & meeting up

    Buyers message you in-app. Agree on a time and a public SafeMeet spot. Inspect the item, pay, and you’re done.

    • All conversations are kept in your Messages tab — nothing gets buried in texts.
    • For rentals: Listd handles payment, the deposit hold, and the Listd Guarantee fund.
    • If something feels off, hit Report. We review every report and ban scammers fast.

  5. Step 5

    Founding Members

    You’re early. Founding Members lock in perks the next wave of users won’t get — reduced fees, badge, priority support, and a say in what we build next.

    • No surveillance ads. Ever. We may add normal, non-tracking ads later — you’ll know first.
    • Spam, fakes, and lowball bots get removed. Less scams, better listings, serious buyers only.
    • Built in Pennsylvania by Austin. If you have feedback, the Support page goes straight to me.
