How the money works

You keep 100% of your day rate for 90 days.

Founding-seller window · first 90 days

Renter pays your day rate + an 8% service fee. You keep 100% of your day rate — Listd takes 0% platform fee during the founding-seller window.

Deposits are held by Stripe until the item comes back. If it doesn’t come back, our damage-protection plan kicks in.

After 90 days

A 5% platform fee kicks in — still the lowest in the space, and only on days your gear actually rents. If it sits idle, you owe nothing.

Payouts via Stripe Connect direct deposit, usually 2-3 business days after the rental ends.

+What's the catch? Why is this free?

Because a marketplace with no listings isn’t a marketplace. We built Listd — the payments, the ID verification, the damage protection, all of it — and now we need enough equipment on it that when a neighbor searches “pressure washer,” there’s actually one nearby. Waiving our fee for 90 days is cheaper than paid ads and more useful for you.

+What if my equipment doesn't rent?

You owe nothing. The 5% platform fee (which is waived anyway during your founding-seller window) only ever applies when your gear actually rents. Idle listings are free.

+Who's actually renting it? Am I liable?

Every renter on Listd verifies their ID through Stripe before they can book. Their card is held for the deposit. If something comes back damaged, our in-house damage-protection plan — not insurance, but a real claims process — covers up to $2,000 per incident depending on the tier the renter picked.

+How does pickup work?

We hide your exact address from the marketplace. When someone books, they can only see your street name and rough area on the listing until 24 hours before pickup, when full address unlocks. You approve every booking. You can cancel any request.

+How do I get paid?

Stripe Connect direct deposit to your bank. Usually 2-3 business days after the rental ends. You’ll set up your payout account when your first booking comes in.

+How many can I list?

As many as you’ve got. If you have a full shed, send it all — we’ll write them one at a time and get them live over the next few days.

+Where does Listd operate?

Right now we’re focused on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, especially the coal region and surrounding towns. If you’re outside that footprint, still send us your equipment — we’ll list it and get you paid, and you’ll be on-deck when we expand.
